Log in to SmartHub

With SmartHub, you may pay your bill online using a bank account or credit card. There is no charge when using your bank account or credit card. You can either utilize the application to make a one-time payment or set up a recurring payment. You can also access more detailed account information and view your billing history.

24/7 payment line

Call 877-999-3412 to make a payment 24 hours a day with a major credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express) or by providing your checking or savings account information. There is no charge when using your credit card or checking or savings account information. Our secure pay-by-phone system also allows you to check your account balance and enroll in auto-pay. Please have your account number available when calling our automated system.

Auto-pay

Join the Automatic Bill Payment program and have funds automatically deducted from your checking, savings or credit card each month. No more writing checks, paying for postage or worrying about missing a payment. Take control of your account and never miss a payment again. Sign up today by calling our office at 877-999-3412.
  • Automatic payments from a bank account are withdrawn on the due date stated on the bill. If the date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment will be deducted the following business day.
  • Automatic credit card payments may be drafted up to five days prior to the due date stated on the bill. Roseau Electric accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
  • Members enrolled in the Automatic Bill Payment program will continue to receive monthly electric bill(s), electronically or by mail.

Do not send cash

If you pay your bill by mail, due to extended mail delivery times we recommend mailing your payment at least SEVEN (7) business days before your due date to ensure your payment is posted by the due date. (All payments are processed the day they are received.)

Payments by mail should include the account number, be sent in the envelope provided and be sent to:

You can make payments at the cooperative's headquarters located at 1107 3rd Street NE in Roseau, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

24/7 drive through

A payment drop box is located in our parking lot for the convenience of customers who like to drop off their monthly payment while in town.

Payments placed in the drop boxes will be posted by the end of the next business day.

Energy Assistance Program

Need help?

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) helps pay for home heating costs as well as furnace repairs for income-qualified households. Apply directly with the EAP provider for your county.

Services may include:
  • Payment of energy bills
  • Help with utility disconnections or fuel deliveries
  • Education on efficient and safe use of energy
  • Advocacy with energy suppliers and human service providers
  • Repair or replacement of homeowners' broken heating systems

Convenient monthly payment options are offered through many financial institutions, but please keep in mind that most online bill payments can take up to five (5) days to process.

Budget your electric bill

If you are having difficulty paying your electric bills during months when kilowatt usage is higher, or if you wish to budget your monthly electric bill, please consider the Budget Payment Plan. Using the budget plan, you will accumulate credit during the spring and summer months to offset the higher bills that you may incur during fall and winter.
